I learnt so much from Lorraine and have countless fond memories. Days out with her and Simon where they would fill Alex and I up with sweets, endless summer parties spent running round barefoot in their garden, her delicious Ratatouille and her being the badass lady who wore a leopard print suit to my wedding, 'Who is that FABULOUS woman?' one of my friends asked me.
 
It is perhaps my last memory of Lol that is most present in my mind. We knew she was in her last days so made an effort to go and see her. I was concerned at what I would find and whether I would ruin my beautiful memories of her. I needn't have worried. We found her in the early evening light, sat by her pond with a beer in hand and the love of her life, Simon, by her side. This will be my forever memory of her and I count myself very lucky for this. 
 
Goodbye and so much love to the lady who taught me that only boring people get bored, accessories make an outfit and last and not least that no matter how poorly you feel, you must always attend a party.
