Back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s Worstead was the place to be, there were parties every weekend and many Monday hangovers. Luckily for me I was only a young boy. One thing I will always remember were Si and Lols BBQ’s. So many funny and beautiful memories were made in their garden. REM would be pumping out, Lorraine and Tracey would be joined by the hip. And Simon and Chris would be using their (uninvited) neighbours wheel barrow as a fire pit, usually resulting in a small fire incident. Towards the end of these parties, I always remember Lorraine doing something I will never forget, she would almost take a step back, with a glass of whiskey and watch the party go on into the late hours, peacefully. Lorraine was the true spirit of these parties, and I like to think that’s what she’ll be doing right now.
